
Craig Call is the Property Rights Ombudsman for the State
of Utah. He has held this office since its establishment by the
Legislature seven years ago. Individuals can come to the Ombudsman
for advice at any time, and receive, without charge, information,
mediation, informal and formal opinions, and compulsary arbitration
on their behalf on a full range of property rights issues including
eminent domain and issues related to constitutional property rights
involving any state agency.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Call did land use work for the Flying J Corporation, the nations largest truck stop chain. He previously was a member of the House of Representatives of the Utah State Legislature. He served as Chairman of the Revenue and Taxation Committee. He also served on the City Council of Provo, Utah. Previously, he was a member of the staff of Congressman Jim Hanson (R., Ut.). Mr. Call attended law school at Brigham Young University. He has written the book, A Citizens Guide to Utah Land Use Regulation, currently being published by the Utah Department of Natural Resources.
