Madeline Sheila Galvin is an attorney engaged in private practice in Delmar, N. Y. She is a partner in the firm of Galvin and Morgan. Her practice includes work in fields of Federal and state litigation and appeals (both plaintiff and defense), property rights, trusts and estates, contracts, real property, product liability, family law, tax law, civil rights law, corporate law, and related matters, as well as general practice of law.
She entered private practice in 1974, while she continued for several years with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, where her practice included the fields of general corporate law, securities, bonding, bill drafting, lien law, general contract, construction contract, and related areas, Her practice included extensive experience in state legislative work and later a major portion of work in the area of municipal bonding, including bond issues in relation to both the private and the public sectors handled by the Authority.
She received her J. D. Degree from Albany Law School of Union University, Albany, N.Y., in 1973, and received her Bachelor of Arts in 1973 from Russell Sage College, Cum Laude with Highest Honors. She is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, New York State Bar, U. S. District Court Northern District of N. Y., and the U. S. Second Circuit, Court of Appeals. She served as an elected Member of the Bethlehem Town Board, was a Member of the Town of Bethlehem Zoning Board of Appeals, and was Vice Chairman of the Town of Bethlehem Land Use Management Advisory Committee. She is recognized in Whos Who in America, Whos Who in American Law, Whos Who of American Women, Whos Who in the East, and Whos Who in the World.
