
Sam Kazman received his JD from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Mr. Kazman is general counsel of Competitive Enterprise Iinstitute and the head of the Death By Regulation project there.
Mr. Kazman won a federal appeals court ruling in 1992 which overturned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administrations auto fuel economy standards beacuse it had illegally hidden the lethal effects on highway safety. He has also been involved in litigation on property rights, restrictions on advertising, and environmental regulation.
Mr. Kazman has written for publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, USA Today, and Regulation. He has testified at congressional hearings and appeared on shows such as Crossfire, Court TV, Good Morning America, and the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.
