Dear Mr. Collins:
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
has approved the de-designation request submitted by Jersey County
on July 3, 2002 and transmitted to the FHWA by the department
on September 20, 2002. De-designation has been approved for Illinois
100 from the Greene County line south to the northern boundary
of Pere Marquette State Park, including that part of Illinois
100 adjacent to the Legate property on the south side of Pere
Marquette State Park.
Enclosed is a copy of the September 27,
2002 letter from the FHWA informing the department of the approved
portions of the Jersey County de-designation.
