6. CONCLUSION
It is reasonable to assume that Park Service extortion was
exercised in most of the 1,130 title transactions. For those willing
to part with their land for reasons mentioned in The
Numbers Game section, little or no pressure may have been
needed. For others, some pressure was applied, varying from case
to case as to the timing, and the degree required, to achieve
compliance.
