Part VI

Third Annual Circle of Ideas

"Defending the Future of Communities & Culture"
Speakers, Attendees, & Moderators

Jonathan P. Knauth, Professional Engineer, and Michael Hardiman of Hardiman Consulting, at the moderators' table, and Ms. LaGrasse at the podium.

Participants from southern New York left early because of the blizzard, but a lively discussion ensued about how to involve more youth in the property rights issues discussed at the conference. The consensus was that outreach should be directly to young people through their organizations such as 4H.

Closing Address

Michael Hardiman
President, Hardiman Consulting, Washington, D.C.
"Land Rights: The View from Washington, D.C."

Michael Hardiman, one of the nation's foremost authorities on private property rights, looked at the voting record of various candidates for the Presidency. He then addressed questions from the audience on such issues as essential reform of the Equal Access to Justice Act, which is before the Congress.
