Summary (Excluding 5 applicant letters)*

Total Number Personally Written Letters = 34 letters, 16 letters by different individuals
Total Number of Pre-typed Form Letters = 64 letters, 38 letters by different individuals who did not sign other letters
Total All Letters = 98 letters 54 letters by different individuals

*Note:

Many letters are signed by individuals the same surname, which is so noted in the tabulations. These are, nevertheless, entered as separate individuals in the cumulative counts. Probably there were husband and wife and family members signing letters separately, perhaps even at the same sitting, to inflate the count of form letters.

In addition, some of the Livingston Lake members with different surnames are members of the same family, including the Hutchens family, perhaps jointly owning property. These perhaps have also signed separate form letters, probably deliberately inflating the count of form letters. But the totals in the summary do not reflect an analysis of surnames.
